The rapid growth of Asia's gaming industry has made localization essential for market success and global accessibility. Uniquely positioned at the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures, Hong Kong has emerged as a premier hub for Chinese-English game localization, fostering industry innovation and unlocking unprecedented opportunities. In response to this growing demand, the School of Translation and Foreign Languages at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong will host an immersive workshop and game translation competition in June 2025. This initiative offers secondary school students practical experience in professional game localization, encompassing cutting-edge methods, technologies, and strategies. Through hands-on exploration of cultural adaptation, gaming terminology, and market dynamics, participants will gain valuable insights into industry trends while building foundations for their academic and professional futures.
